ASIAN ART/CLAY COMBO
June 14-18
Explore the countries of China, Japan and South Korea while discovering famous artists from there!  Learn to paint the Japanese sumi-e way!  Learn printmaking and how you can use it multiple ways- make paper prints, print t-shirts and more!  Work with hand building and wheel throwing in the clay studio using Asian designs.  Discover South Korean culture through Korean patchwork, masks, and Lunar New Year.   Class size limit:  10

Asian Art/Clay Combo

​RENAISSANCE ART/CLAY COMBO
June 21-25
Known as the center of the Renaissance – the rebirth of art and culture – many of the masters from this prolific time period, including Michelangelo, Leonardo, and Raphael will be explored. Study the art and science of Leonardo da Vinci and design your own inventions and make your own plaster fresco and painted with tempera paint you make yourself!  Learn to draw like Michelangelo and construct your own architectural creation.  Make your own mosaics with broken pottery.  Work with clay hand-building and wheel-throwing in the clay studio.  Class size limit:  10

MODERN ART/CLAY CAMP
June 28-July 2
Discover the Modern Art Movement of Fauvism, Cubism, Expressionism and Surrealism which lasted c1900-1970.  Artists such as Andy Warhol, Henri Matisse, Georgia O’Keefe, Salvador Dali were all part of this movement!  We’ll have so much fun creating abstract, surreal, and action paintings!  We’ll explore sculpture in the Modern era.   Campers will work with hand building and wheel throwing in the clay studio using traditional and modern designs.  Class size limit:  10

IMPRESSIONISM ART CAMP
July 5-9
The Impressionists – including Monet, Degas, Renoir, Cezanne, and Cassatt will be explored. Students will use various mediums such as graphite, pastels, watercolors, and acrylics to create figure drawings, landscapes, paintings in pointillism and florals (water lilies!)   Experience en plein air (painting outside) and more!  Class size limit:  10

Impressionism Art Camp

ART OF THE ANCIENT WORLD ART/CLAY CAMP
July 19-23
The ancient art of Greece, Egypt and Africa will be explored-paintings, sculpture, and architecture.  We will create pottery in the clay studio patterned from pottery designs from the ancient world.  We’ll make masks, design our own coins, make cartouches’ and our own jewelry!   Class size limit:  10

Art of the Ancient World Art/Clay Camp

ABSTRACT ART CAMP
July 26-30
We will explore abstract art and techniques!  Abstract art does not realistically represent any one thing.  Use form, line, and color to create abstract paintings and sculpture.  Discover line, shape, color layering techniques and tolls you can use-the sky is the limit!  Bring out your inner Jackson Pollack!  Class size limit:  10

Abstract Art Camp

YOUTH CLAY CAMP
June 7-11 or July 12-16
In this introduction to the world of ceramics, learn the hand techniques of coiling clay and working with slabs, plus the basics of throwing on the wheel.  Campers will also become familiar with how to glaze and fire their creations.  This camp is great for the beginning or experienced camper.   Just bring your sense of adventure and plan to get dirty!  Class size limit:  10

Youth Clay Camp

Teen* Drawing, Painting and Collage
June 7-11 or July 12-16   
This camp will incorporate drawing, painting, and mixed media.  Each camper will begin with a drawing, then you will create your composition with a mix of materials and techniques that may include painting, printmaking, cut paper collage, oil pastel, etc.  You'll have a multi-dimensional masterpiece that's matted and ready to hang! This process improves skill building, problem solving, and creativity. Each week is a different project. No experience necessary.  Class size limit:  10
 
Ages 12-17*    9 am – Noon (Monday - Friday)
                        $170/$195 (member/non-member)
