ASSIGNING THE RIGHT MOTHER
Genealogy Workshop
Target Audience: Advanced Beginner/Early Intermediate
Researcher: Should be familiar with a variety of source types and have experience with document searches conducted in person and online (Ancestry, FamilySearch and/or MyHeritage). May have already realized an error on a family tree branch.
Class Content: Practice source evaluation, with hands-on exercises, in order to find clues about a potential mother. Learn how to find and use different source types, as well as indirect evidence, to help determine the correct mother of children in a family group. See examples of completed research case studies, including one with a DNA evaluation arm.
Course Length: 4 hours. Water and light snacks will be provided
