FLORA FAUNA JURIED ART SHOW 2026
Featuring flora and fauna artists from Indiana
 
An exhibition to celebrate the earth's flora and fauna. Art should depict flora, fauna or both elements. Open to all Indiana artists. Artists must be 18 years old and older.

ELIGIBILITY
  • Open to Indiana artists, age 18 and up.
  • Open to all media.
  • Work must be original and from your own reference, not copied from other artists’ work or published materials and must have been completed within the last three years.
  • Any reference provided by an instructor is not eligible, including an instructor-provided photo, still-life setup, or model setup.
  • Work that was done in a classroom, workshop, or in an online group with an instructor is not eligible.
  • 2D artwork must be framed (except for gallery wrapped canvas), wired, and ready to hang.  No Exceptions.  We encourage you to use acrylic or plexiglass in place of glass.
  • 2D artwork must not exceed 100 pounds. 
  • 3D work may not exceed 6.5’ x 2.5’ x 7’ and not exceed 100 lbs.  Heavier work will be considered, but the artist will need to contact the SullivanMunce Cultural Center to plan.
  • Artwork must be for sale. No NFS or POR.
  • Failure to meet any of the requirements for eligibility will result in the artwork being disqualified.
  • Artwork must be labeled on the back with title of piece and artist name.                                                                                                 
JURORS
Jurors will be selected from Indiana artists, art business professionals, and administrators by the SullivanMunce Cultural Center.
 
ENTRY FEE
$20 for up to three works.
 
ADDITIONAL NOTIFICATION INFORMATION
  • Notifications will be emailed and posted in your ShowSubmit account by the end of the day on May 19, 2026.
  • You may view the notification in your ShowSubmit account by logging in and clicking the Notifications at the top right of the screen, or in your Entry History.
  • If you do not receive your email, login and view the notification in your account. We cannot respond to inquiries regarding the status of notifications.                                                                                                                                                                                      
IMAGE AND FILENAME SPECIFICATIONS
  • File Format: Submit original, high-quality JPEG image files. Other formats (e.g., PNG, TIFF) are not accepted.
  • Crop Your Image: Ensure only the artwork itself is visible in the image. Do not show any visible matting, frames, or background distractions.
  • Orientation: Make sure your image is oriented correctly (right side up) so that the artwork appears in its intended viewing direction.
  • Image Size: You do not need to resize your image files before uploading. The system will automatically resize them. Smaller images cannot be enlarged to meet the requirements, so ensure your images are high resolution before uploading.
  • File Names: You do not need to rename your files before uploading them. The system will handle any file naming requirements.
  • File Size: There is a 30mb maximum file size limit. Larger image files will take longer to upload and process.                                
ADDITIONAL ENTRY INFORMATION
  • You will pay for your entry by credit or debit card using our secure checkout system.
  • After your entry is submitted and paid for, you may log back in to review your entry, edit artist and image information, and add or substitute images up until the entry deadline (May 1, 2026)
  • Entry fees are not refundable and must be submitted and paid by the entry deadline.
  • Entries cannot be accepted or changed after the deadline. Incomplete entries will be disqualified.
  • SullivanMunce Cultural Center retains 30% commission of sold artwork.
  • Please note the SullivanMunce Cultural Center reserves the right to reject any artwork due to inadequate preparation for installation, or for potential security or public safety issues. Any accepted and delivered works which differ in quality or are not representative of the digital file may be disqualified at the discretion of the Gallery Director.
  • Works not collected within 30 days of the close of the exhibition will become the property of the SullivanMunce Cultural Center.

​SullivanMunce Cultural Center Announces 45th Edition
First Come, First Hung CALL OUT
Artists of all ages and skill levels are invited to showcase their talent in the SullivanMunce Cultural Center’s highly anticipated annual exhibition, First Come, First Hung 2026. This unique exhibit guarantees a spot to the first 50 artists who arrive at the center (225 West Hawthorne Street, Zionsville, IN) on Saturday, January 9, 2027, between 10:00 AM and Noon.
Whether amateur or professional, all artists have an equal opportunity to display their work in this vibrant and inclusive event. Accepted works will be exhibited in the gallery from Saturday, January 26, 2027, through Saturday, February 20, 2027.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE
Submission Date: Saturday, January 9, 2027, 10:00 AM – Noon
  • FREE for Members / $15 for Adult Non-Members
  • FREE for artists aged 17 and under
  • Only one piece per artist will be accepted.
  • Work must be original and ready to hang or display (see guidelines below)
Accepted Mediums:
All types, styles, and mediums are welcome, including oil, watercolor, photography, sculpture, ceramics, textiles, decorative arts, and more. Submissions must be no larger than 4’ wide x 5’ high, and 2D work must be framed (or gallery-wrapped canvas), wired, and ready to hang.
Submission Notes:
  • Artist representatives may submit work on behalf of an artist.
  • Artists may offer their work for sale, with 70% of proceeds going to the artist. Sold pieces must remain on display for the duration of the exhibit.
  • All pieces must be picked up on Tuesday, February 23, 2027, or Wednesday, February 24, 2027, during business hours unless other arrangements are made.
Awards
This exhibition offers a variety of awards to recognize exceptional creativity and artistry:
  • Edie Kellar Mahaney Creative Award of Merit ($100): Presented to an artist (youth or adult) whose work showcases originality, creative expression, and joy, in honor of Edie Kellar Mahaney, the founding director of the Munce Art Center.
  • People’s Choice Awards ($50 each): Recognizing a standout piece in both the adult and youth categories, as voted on by the public.
Award recipients will be announced before the exhibit opening, and the People’s Choice Awards will be determined during the exhibition.
