The P.H. Sullivan History Museum was made possible through a bequest from Iva Etta Sullivan, the great-granddaughter of an early Boone County pioneer. The museum opened in 1973. Since 2003, the museum, genealogy library and companion Munce Art Center have been collectively known as the SullivanMunce Cultural Center.
The collection preserves the heritage of the area that Iva’s grandfather, Patrick Henry Sullivan, helped settle. Located in Zionsville Indiana, just northwest of Indianapolis, the museum’s mission of housing and preserving the history of the Zionsville area continues to this day.
Our online catalog only represents a fraction of our collection at this time. We add items regularly as we photograph/scan historical artifacts and documents and upload them to our database.
