SullivanMunce Cultural Center Celebrates National Historic Preservation Month with Community Event
and Guest Speaker from Indiana Landmarks

ZIONSVILLE, IN — The SullivanMunce Cultural Center invites the community to celebrate National Historic Preservation Month at a special free public event on Thursday, May 21, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the SullivanMunce Cultural Center in the heart of Zionsville Village.

The evening will highlight several of the organization’s ongoing preservation initiatives, including the Century Structure Program, historical marker projects, and the Century Structure Architectural Walking Tour. Guests will also hear about exciting future preservation efforts and opportunities for community involvement.

Featured guest speaker Brad Ward, President and CEO of Indiana Landmarks, will share insights on the importance of historic preservation and the role local communities play in protecting places that tell Indiana’s story.

“Our historic buildings, homes, and landmarks connect us to the people and stories that shaped our community,” said Cynthia Young, Executive Director of the SullivanMunce Cultural Center. “This event is a celebration of Zionsville’s unique sense of place and the many volunteers, partners, and residents who help preserve it for future generations.”

Attendees will learn about:
  • The Century Structure plaque program for homes over 100 years old
  • Current and future historical marker projects in partnership with the Town of Zionsville, Zionsville Community Schools, and Zionsville Parks Department
  • The BooneINCulture self-guided architectural walking tours and future expansion plans
  • Ways residents can participate in local preservation initiatives

The event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.
