In tribute to the 2016 Indiana Bicentennial statehood and Zionsville Sesquicentennial town incorporation celebrations, SullivanMunce Cultural Center produced a book that captures and preserves Zionsville community history. The book, Tell Us More – Zionsville Indiana Narratives by Janet Maloney, Personal & Community Historian, is a collection of unique recollections of personal life experiences while growing up and living in Zionsville. These first-hand experiences of 15 individuals born in the 1920’s through the 1950’s recapture the innocence of this small farming community. The town has now grown to become a highly desired area in which to live. In interviewing long-term Zionsville residents, a mosaic of their perceptions of experiences from childhood to adulthood was captured. These narratives are not only a treasure-trove of information, but also a fascinating and charming interplay of memory and fact.
